Frequently asked questions.

What is a Fiscal Sponsorship?

Fiscal sponsorship refers to the practice of non-profit organizations offering their legal and tax-exempt status to individuals & groups to fundraise for charitable projects that enrich their communities.

Does A+C give me funds as my Fiscal Sponsor?

No, however we do lend you our nonprofit 501c3 status that gives you access to fundraise for your cause! We also provide fundraising resources, opportunities, and annual events that can help assist you in fundraising.

Is there a minimum I have to raise?

No! The A+C Foundation is willing to sponsor your charitable passion no matter how small or large your fundraising goal is!

What if my project is a one time function?

No matter the length of your project, the A+C Foundation offers their 501c3 status.

How do i receive funds?

Your donors will send all donations to Arts and Causes for processing. Arts and Causes will take 10% of the earnings and distribute the remaining 90% to the designated project head on a quarterly basis or upon request.

Can i still apply for my own 501c3 while being sponsored by A+C?

Absolutely! We like to think of Fiscal Sponsorship as a test run for those that want to gain 501c3 status. This model allows for you to test out the waters before jumping in.

Often we find that clients will stick with Fiscal Sponsorship as it allows for less administrative work and provides more time to focus on the project.
